Improving Lives 7 A Side Football Tournament
18th Sep 2017
Our 2nd Improving Lives Football Tournament took place on Sunday 17th at Loughborough College with 6 teams of young local men coming together for a friendly 7 A Side football tournament. We would like to thank Loughborough College for the use of the pitches.
This was organised by Equality Action’s Improving Lives Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund. The purpose of the project and tournament is to bring people of different backgrounds together and help break down barriers. In this climate it is important that any opportunity to celebrate our diversity is vital. The event was successful with great team spirit. The weather was lovely which helped and we had some families come to watch and support with young children.
The winners of the tournament were Team LCS Zindabad and the runners up were Team Bullet. The Mayor Cllr Pauline Ranson and her Consort attended and handed out the trophies.
